About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our cold storage warehouse operations. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the facility, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations, particularly in a cold storage environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a cold storage environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation systems and technology.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F
  • Stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the cold storage warehouse.
  • Lead and manage a team of supervisors and warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
  • Implement and oversee automation systems to enhance operational productivity.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment and facility are in excellent working condition.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of products stored in the facility.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to provide excellent service and support to clients.
  • Develop and manage the warehouse budget, including cost control measures.
  • Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and service quality.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant innovations into warehouse operations.
