In 1963, Stan Berman opened his eponymous donut shop in Los Angeles, continuing a generations-long family tradition of baking. His donuts quickly became legendary in the Los Angeles area. Meanwhile, in Chicago, Rich Labriola followed a passion for all things bread to create one of the most renowned bakeries in the Chicago area from the ground up. After seeing Stan on a travel show, Rich reached out to Stan and the two became friends over their shared passion. The friendship turned into a partnership as Stan passed the torch to Rich, who opened the first Stan's Donuts & Coffee in Chicago in 2014 with his own recipes inspired by Stan's classics. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of the local food service business unit. The General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people, and enforcing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader, a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Requirements

Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high volume operation
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Comfortable using Google suite
Open to feedback and change
Food service management: 5 years (Required)
Food Handler Certification (Required)
Day Shift (Required)
Night Shift (Required)

Responsibilities

Active management on the floor greeting guests and meeting customer needs.
Guest facing- interacting and serving guests as needed (70% active managing, 30% administrative)
Driving financial performance
Oversee day-to-day operations
Maintain budgets on sales, waste, and labor
Follow policies and processes- ensure staff is completing checklists in line with our brand standards
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Oversee recruitment, training of new employees and managing performance
Prepare regular reports for upper management on sales, waste and labor
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Manage scheduling in line with fair workweek regulations and achieving labor goals set forth by company
Ensure ordering is completed and par levels in line with sales volume
