About The Position

Looking for leaders to become the foundation of our Tropical Smoothie Cafe family in Hampton with potential to grow into a bigger role. Responsibilities •SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager is responsible for leading the FOH and BOH operations of the Cafe •The manager will spend significant time performing managerial duties, as well as some back of house cooking/smoothie functions •Key responsibilities include helping with hiring, managing staff, training new and current staff and disciplining restaurant team members whenever necessary •The manager is responsible for ensuring excellent guest experience, the safety of our guests, team members and property, and product quality •The position will lead and develop the manager to drive catering and increase sales •The manager must hit operational and sales goals for the Cafe, as well as operate within brand standards •Bring energy and a smile to work every day •Operate well in impeccably clean, efficient and organized restaurant environments •Wears an “owner’s hat” in operating the store •Knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe •Successful completion of the Cafe Basics, Certified Trainer, and Crew Leader Training Programs •Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Crew Members to ensure the café is staffed at the appropriate level •Manages and delegates daily functions of the café including prepping product, making food and smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties •Leads and coaches staff during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld •Manages the brand experience, including hospitality, quality control, and speed of service •Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the brand •Monitors sales growth and cost control of the store against the budgeted expectation and historical performance to maximize profitability •Leads marketing and promotional campaigns •Executes marketing and sales programs following guidelines •Hires and trains cross functional Team Members to ensure the store is staffed at the appropriate level •Manages labor to ensure proper staffing levels to meet the budget and sales strategy •Creates a Schedule that meets labor goals while making sure the store is running to standards •Manages the inventory and par levels weekly •Conducts inventory weekly •Ensures equipment is operable to execute brand standards •Drives servsafe compliance and proper food handling procedures •Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the store •Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30-50 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash •Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers •Managers can expect to have a 45-50-hour work week during the busy times of the year (40-45 when it is slower), dictated by the needs of the business •Some early mornings, late evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours and will have additional opening/closing responsibilities •Leads Crew Members and Shift Leaders by demonstrating Tropical Smoothie Cafes core values in all interactions •Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s menu boasts bold, flavorful smoothies with a healthy appeal, all made-to-order from the freshest ingredients. We find that superior, simple ingredients including real fruits and veggies just tastes better.

Requirements

  • Ability to hire, train, and coach crew members and develop future leaders of our Tropical Smoothie family
  • Experience with ordering from vendors, receiving orders and inventory control
  • Knowledge of labor, food cost and other cost management for operation
  • Ability to oversee day to day operations of a restaurant
  • Two or more years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory experience
  • Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions
  • Serve Safe Certified required (or willing to get certification within 60 days)
  • Ability to oversee day to day operations of a restaurant
