About The Position

Advantage Sales & Supply Co., LLC, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and drive business growth. Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for overall leadership and performance of the Ridgway site for the Advantage Wholesale Division. This role drives the achievement of branch and company objectives through effective management of operations, financial results, customer satisfaction, and employee development.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience
  • Five or more years of experience in rigging, mining, manufacturing, construction, or a comparable industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and P&L performance
  • Experience managing safety policies and procedures for operations
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
  • Ability to access and navigate all departments within the branch facility

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily planning and execution of all branch operations, including production, maintenance, warehousing, receiving, and shipping, to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Oversee and evaluate manufacturing processes to achieve consistent compliance with productivity, performance, safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Provide leadership for the branch Maintenance Program, including preventive maintenance initiatives, equipment repair and reliability, facilities upkeep, and capital project management.
  • Partner with department managers to develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs that support a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize branch operations by simplifying workflows and improving coordination and efficiency between departments.
  • Maintain accountability for branch financial performance through the profit and loss statement, including participating in the annual budget development and approval process, ongoing financial forecasting, variance analysis, cost control initiatives, and alignment of labor and operating expenses with budgeted targets to drive profitability and margin improvement.
  • Take ownership of significant customer concerns and complaints, resolving issues promptly and ensuring satisfaction with final resolution.
  • Participate in and organize quarterly, site-wide meetings to communicate details of the branch bonus program, review financial results, provide updates on key projects, and reinforce company goals and strategic priorities.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, trust, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the branch.
  • Provide direct people leadership, including hiring and retention, performance reviews, training and development, coaching, corrective action, and succession planning.
  • Lead the sitewide safety program to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies, and provide leadership on the branch Safety Committee.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as required to support branch and company objectives.
