About The Position

The General Manager will lead all aspects of the production facility’s operations, including ownership of the P&L and direct responsibility for commercial sales performance. This role requires a results-driven leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and has a strong track record of driving operational excellence, team performance, and profitable revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership and achieving revenue and margin targets.
  • Experience leading commercial sales efforts, including customer acquisition and relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, lean principles, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite daily at the Washington, Missouri facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with custom or short-run manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite) and production planning tools.
  • Prior experience in the government, office supplies, or specialty products industry.

Responsibilities

  • Full P&L responsibility for the facility; develop and execute plans to meet financial targets.
  • Direct commercial sales strategy, including growing existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.
  • Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are met or exceeded.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team across production, maintenance, quality, and administration functions.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Partner with marketing and corporate leadership on product positioning, pricing strategies, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, report regularly to senior leadership on key performance indicators.
  • Ensure the facility maintains a safe work environment aligned with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
