About The Position

We are excited to announce that Bear Flag is opening a new location in Costa Mesa Summer 2026! At Bear Flag Fish Co., we’re passionate about serving high-quality, sustainably sourced seafood in a fast-paced, coastal environment. Founded by a local fisherman, Bear Flag brings the ocean to the table with a focus on freshness, hospitality, and community.

We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead our team, drive operations, and deliver an exceptional guest experience every day.

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including team leadership, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and maintaining Bear Flag’s high standards of quality and service.

Requirements

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience (GM or AGM level preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High energy with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record in driving sales and managing costs
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience
• Seafood knowledge

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture
• Oversee daily operations including FOH and BOH coordination
• Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns
• Manage scheduling, labor costs, and inventory
• Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Drive sales and profitability through strong operational practices
• Collaborate with ownership on business goals and growth strategies
