About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and financial success of a high-volume fast casual restaurant. This role oversees all aspects of restaurant operations including team leadership, guest experience, sales growth, cost controls, and brand standards. The General Manager builds a strong team culture, ensures operational excellence, and drives profitability while delivering a consistent and outstanding guest experience.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in fast casual or quick service concepts
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Experience managing P&L performance, labor budgets, and food costs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fast casual or QSR brands such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panera Bread, Five Guys, Jersey Mike's Subs, or CAVA is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service, food quality, and adherence to brand standards
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high hospitality and service standards
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all health and food safety regulations
  • Ensure accurate execution of menu items, prep standards, and speed of service targets
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing management and hourly team
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing development to management and team members
  • Manage labor scheduling to balance service levels with labor cost targets
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and internal promotions
  • Own restaurant P&L performance including sales growth, labor management, food cost, and controllable expenses
  • Analyze key performance metrics such as sales, guest counts, labor %, food cost, and profitability
  • Implement strategies to improve margins, increase average check, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives
  • Drive restaurant sales through local marketing, community engagement, and in-store promotions
  • Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to increase brand visibility
  • Execute marketing initiatives and promotional programs that support brand growth
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety regulations, and operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate records related to inventory, labor, scheduling, and financial reporting
  • Protect company assets and ensure proper cash handling procedures
