About The Position

The General Manager (GM) at Mellow Mushroom Fleming Island is responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities, ensuring that operations align with the business plan, and delivering total customer satisfaction. The GM leads the team, manages financial performance, and maintains high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This role requires effective training and development of staff, as well as the execution of local marketing strategies to maximize sales.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Three or more years of front-of-the-house operations or assistant manager experience in the service industry.
• At least one year of experience with beer, wine, and liquor.
• Excellent basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stamina and availability to work 50 to 55 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
• Accessible 24/7 for communication with employees.

• Hire, train, and evaluate employees to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain restaurant standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC).
• Maximize financial performance and profit through effective business management.
• Develop and execute the restaurant's business plan, including fiscal responsibilities and local marketing strategies.
• Enforce compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Create a positive work environment that promotes employee dignity and respect.
