About the position

The Beaver Creek Metropolitan District (BCMD) is seeking a skilled and seasoned leader for the position of General Manager. The General Manager reports to and works closely with the BCMD's elected board of directors to oversee District affairs, including governance and administration; public transportation and services; and operation and maintenance of public roadways, common areas and infrastructure. This position is generally 80% administrative and 20% operational. The General Manager is the only employee of the District. Virtually all BCMD services are performed through contracted service providers. There are new and ongoing contracts that must be reviewed, considered and/or renewed annually. The General Manager will be responsible for successfully managing professional relationships, contracts and agreements with other public and private entities, community members and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee District affairs including governance and administration.
  • Manage public transportation and services.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of public roadways, common areas, and infrastructure.
  • Manage professional relationships, contracts, and agreements with public and private entities.
  • Review, consider, and renew contracts annually.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of relevant managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred; Master's degree in public administration, business administration or closely related field is a plus.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid Colorado driver's license.
  • Willingness to work on-site.

  • Experience with organizational and infrastructure management.

  • Strong interpersonal and public relation skills.
  • Understanding of local government administration and operations.
