The General Manager at Zaxby's will be responsible for planning and overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure that all goals and objectives are met. This role is crucial in maintaining the overall success of the restaurant, which includes managing daily activities related to production and operations, ensuring financial stewardship through effective management of food costs, labor costs, and repairs and maintenance. The General Manager will also be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant as needed, ensuring that all operational systems are executed daily to maintain a clean and organized environment that is prepared to deliver quality food and service. In addition to operational oversight, the General Manager will drive a sales growth mentality and foster an environment of exceptional service and hospitality. This includes providing appropriate and effective training for all team members, ensuring that all certifications are complete and in compliance with company standards. The General Manager will maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example, performing coaching, counseling, and discipline for actions that do not meet Zaxby's standards, and executing disciplinary documentation and action for team members who fail to meet expectations. The role also requires maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards by understanding and enforcing federal and local health code regulations. Administrative duties such as employee scheduling, financial reconciliation, financial data record keeping, and weekly sales reports will also be part of the General Manager's responsibilities. The General Manager will ensure that all team members are knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing and monitoring their performance, and providing timely feedback. Additionally, the General Manager will manage vendor orders and inventory effectively and efficiently, and care for facilities and equipment through detailed cleaning and care schedules.
