The Role The Country Manager (reporting to General Management) is responsible for defining David's Bridal's growth, profitability, and positioning strategy in Mexico. Your main mission is to transform traditional retail operations into a highly efficient omnichannel ecosystem, ensuring optimized operating costs to maximize profit margin (P&L). You will lead the brand's expansion, including the integration of new categories (e.g., couture, menswear, “quinceañera”) and the implementation of AI technologies for a personalized customer experience.

  • Experience: 1–2 years as a Country Manager and 2–4 years as a Brand Manager (Essential).
  • Education: Degree in an Economic-Administrative or related field (Essential); Master's Degree or MBA (Desirable).
  • Language: Fluent English (Desirable).
  • Knowledge and Training
  • Intermediate Office Suite and Advanced Statistics Interpretation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards and Omnichannel administrative systems.
  • Physical Demands & Travel
  • Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer/telephone.
  • Ability to balance, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and perform sedentary work.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel Requirement: Must be available to travel; frequency is rated as high. (Current estimate: 75% of time allotted to/within Mexico).

Responsibilities

  • Growth and Expansion Strategy
  • Design and execute the national expansion plan, including new boutique openings and the consolidation of the shop-in-shop model (e.g., alliances such as Liverpool).
  • Identify market opportunities to ensure revenue through the brand's technology platform (commissions from suppliers, planning services).
  • Position David's Bridal as the benchmark for inclusivity (sizes 0-30W).
  • Financial Management and Profitability (P&L)
  • Manage the total country budget, ensuring Operating Cost (OPEX) aligns with EBITDA targets.
  • Implement profit-based compensation schemes where sales, conversion, and expense control KPIs directly impact business unit profitability.
  • Monitor inventory efficiency to reduce losses and optimize cash flow using an asset-lite model.
  • Operational and Technological Excellence
  • Ensure the adoption of AI and CRM tools focused on the bride's journey ("Aisle to Algorithm") to customize the sales experience.
  • Maintain customer service standards (Net Promoter Score) above 80%, integrating luxury hospitality with operational efficiency.
  • Ensure speed-to-aisle delivery.
  • Leadership and Relationships
  • Lead and develop the sales team (Dream Makers) and middle management, fostering a performance-based culture.
  • Act as the primary link between the local strategic partner (Diltex Brands) and the global corporate office in the USA.
  • Manage direct reporting lines for Brand Management and Operations Management, and indirect lines for Marketing, Product, and Regional Management.
  • Maintain external relationships with suppliers and shopping centers, and internal collaboration with Sales, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing.
