About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall operation and management of the assigned business area. The role ensures the efficient and safe production of high-quality products in alignment with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include equipping supervisors with the necessary information, materials, and training to achieve optimal product quality; monitoring attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and Total Quality Management (TQM); fostering innovation by encouraging and supporting new ideas from Team Members; and overseeing daily operations within the assigned area. The position also involves analyzing non-routine issues and providing actionable recommendations to the Plant Manager. Ensuring compliance with USDA, Federal, and State regulations is critical. Additional duties include managing safety, production yields, quality standards, Team Member relations, turnover, absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds within the assigned area.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education, including specialized training, vocational schooling, college courses, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a solid understanding of production techniques, procedures, product yields, quality standards, and USDA and OSHA regulations
  • Proficient in basic computer applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel as required
  • Responsible for supervising a team performing related tasks and activities
