About The Position

Working as a General Manager, you are responsible for providing administrative oversight and leadership for the department directors of Environmental Services, Patient Transport, Plant Operations and Maintenance, Food and Nutrition, Clinical Engineering, and Linen.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 7 years of operations/management experience
  • Strong background in a senior leadership role with exposure to contract management, customer service, and people development
  • Must be self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and understand the importance of cooperation and team support
  • A high energy level with a strong work ethic and high expectations for performance, reflecting a style that is focused, consistent, fair, and approachable
  • Able to work with diverse populations (staff, patient, hospital) under difficult and stressful situations
  • Must exhibit strong communication, presentation, and listening skills to ensure collaboration between company and hospital departments
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary liaison between the company and the hospital
  • Assists hospital in preparation of budgets
  • Monitors and holds departmental directors responsible for compliance with hospital policies, contractual provisions, procedures, and initiatives
  • Participates in various hospital departments and committees
  • Leads departmental directors to create strategies and execute plans to optimize the long term relationship between the company and the client
  • Initiates strategic processes that address continuously measurable improvements in service
  • Works with department heads to address productivity, operational performance, staff retention and engagement
  • Holds management teams accountable for compliance with HR policies and procedures to include benefits, vacations, facilitation of evaluations, EEOC, and compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Assures that the highest standards of service are provided with a focus on patient satisfaction
