The General Manager of Nuclear Engineering is the senior leader responsible for directing and overseeing all engineering functions that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the nuclear power plant. This role provides strategic leadership, technical oversight, governance, and alignment of engineering programs—including design engineering, systems engineering, programs engineering, nuclear fuels engineering, and procurement engineering. The General Manager ensures all engineering activities comply with federal regulations, licensing commitments, industry standards, plant procedures, and the highest standards of nuclear safety and operational excellence. In this role, you’ll do more than contribute you’ll drive meaningful change by: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all plant engineering activities. Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, licensing requirements, industry standards, and plant procedures. Oversee system health, design changes, safety evaluations, equipment reliability, and long-term asset planning. Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering organization. Support daily operations and emergent issue resolution with strong technical expertise. Manage engineering budgets, staffing, and external technical resources. Foster a strong nuclear safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
