The Judge Group is seeking a General Manager for Mining Operations to oversee our client's operations in the New Orleans area. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the facility, which includes full P&L responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management within the mining, metal processing, aggregate, recycling, or large construction project environments. This position is not remote; the selected candidate will be required to relocate to New Orleans and be onsite daily to manage operations effectively. In this role, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operations, including safety, environmental compliance, quality control, production, shipping, maintenance, and customer service. The successful candidate will implement Lean management principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Additionally, the General Manager will manage contractors and suppliers, oversee operating expenditures (OPEX), and develop annual budgets. Strategic growth projects will also fall under the purview of this position, requiring oversight and development to ensure alignment with the company's goals. The General Manager will work closely with governmental and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage a diverse team and foster a culture of safety and excellence within the organization.
