About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and managing the overall maintenance functions for the facility. Coordinating maintenance activities with the production scheduling; protecting and ensuring proper manpower requirements forth maintenance department; ensuring effective understanding and use of Tyson CMMS System. Training and developing maintenance management (supervisors) and hourly team members. Assisting in the development and management of the plant maintenance budget. Promote and implement maintenance best practices to increase equipment reliability and reduce maintenance cost. Assisting the plant engineer in the development, implementation and management of the annual capital budget. Act as project manager on capital and maintenance expenditure projects to ensure proper project scope development, equipment specifications, equipment selection, costing, planning and scheduling installation and start up and commissioning. All these efforts will be directed towards the plant focus and direction of moving from a reactive interval-based maintenance organization to be a proactive condition based maintenance organization with world class maintenance performance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work all shifts if needed. Shift need can vary from A, B, and C shifts.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent significant work experience.
  • 3+ years’ work experience directing and managing preferred; proven people and leadership skills.
  • Strong sound working knowledge of SAP, Workday and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
