About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This role is responsible for ensuring productivity, efficiency, and compliance while managing projects and leading a skilled maintenance team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or aviation MRO environment.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in project management and productivity improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• FAA A&P certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the repair station, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and project timelines to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee technicians and support staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
• Monitor productivity (billable vs paid hours), on-time delivery (percentage of jobs delivered on schedule), rework/ quality escape rate (percentage of hours lost to rework or address FAA/QA findings), quality, and safety metrics (incidents, violations, corrective actions), driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project success.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Support budget management, cost control, and efficient use of resources.
