About The Position

The General Manager In Training (GMIT) is responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities and ensuring alignment with the business plan. This role focuses on guest satisfaction, employee training, and operational excellence, while also managing financial performance and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and financial/analytical skills including planning and budgeting.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Team building and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Model and create an environment focused on guest satisfaction.
  • Respond positively to guest concerns and feedback.
  • Hire and train high-quality staff to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Develop and execute the restaurant's business plan, including fiscal responsibilities and local marketing.
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgetary goals.
  • Execute company-wide marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Enforce compliance with labor laws and food safety regulations.
  • Promote a positive and enjoyable working environment for all employees.
