About The Position

The General Manager (GM) will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term growth of a dynamic roofing company. This role is critical for ensuring the company's success and expansion while fostering a strong company culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing roofing companies, optimizing operations, and driving revenue and profitability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role in the roofing industry.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing and growing a roofing company, with strong business acumen and operational expertise.
  • Deep understanding of the roofing industry, including storm damage restoration, insurance claims, project management, and industry best practices.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with business development, marketing, and customer acquisition strategies to grow company revenue.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in storm restoration roofing and insurance claim-based projects.
  • Familiarity with using CRM systems and roofing-specific software tools for project management, customer relations, and sales tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations of the company, ensuring efficient, profitable, and compliant execution of all roofing projects.
  • Lead and manage all departments, including sales, project management, customer service, and administrative functions.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aimed at growing market share, expanding services, and increasing profitability.
  • Ensure optimal performance by setting and monitoring KPIs, ensuring that the company consistently meets or exceeds production and revenue targets.
  • Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring profitability and sound financial management.
  • Recruit, train, and develop top talent, including sales leaders, project managers, and administrative staff, fostering a strong, motivated team.
  • Cultivate relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners within the roofing and construction industries, especially in insurance-based projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Lead business development initiatives and explore opportunities for expansion into new markets or service offerings.
  • Drive operational efficiency, continuously identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
