General Manager - Exterior Restoration
About The Position
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic leader to serve as our Exterior Restoration General Manager. This is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end execution of exterior insurance repair projects (roofing, siding, and gutters). Operating in a lean, "pilot-market" environment, you will bridge the gap between technical estimating and field production. You will be the primary driver of job profitability, subcontractor management, and TPA (Third Party Administrator) compliance, ensuring every project meets our rigorous standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Compensation: Starting at $110,000 annually (DOE). Location: Illinois Market.
Requirements
- 7+ years in exterior construction, roofing, or insurance restoration.
- Proven experience in a leadership or operations role within the roofing/exterior sector.
- Must be able to serve as (or qualify as) the Roofing License Qualifier for the State of Illinois.
- High School Diploma required; Degree in Construction Management is a plus.
- High proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating platforms.
- Expert-level knowledge of insurance carrier and TPA documentation workflows.
- Ability to safely access roofs and exterior elevations; ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Work includes job sites in varying weather (extreme heat/cold) and travel within the pilot market.
Nice To Haves
- HAAG Certification or equivalent exterior damage evaluation training is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee all exterior restoration projects from initial assignment through final walkthrough.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict adherence to carrier/TPA requirements, focusing on accurate damage evaluation and photo documentation.
- Financial Stewardship: Prepare and review Xactimate estimates; manage job costs and margins to hit profitability targets.
- Vendor Management: Source, vet, and hold subcontractors accountable for quality, safety, and scheduling.
- Scalability: Establish standardized processes and quality controls to help the exterior division scale effectively.
- Internal Synergy: Coordinate with interior restoration teams for seamless project handoffs.
