About The Position

The General Manager for the Eastern Region at Hyundai Motor America is responsible for overseeing all regional activities related to sales performance, product distribution, dealer development, parts, service, training, and customer satisfaction. This role involves both strategic and tactical direction for the region, ensuring that objectives are met and dealer relations are fostered effectively.

Requirements

• 11+ years of automotive experience
• Prior dealer contact experience as a RSM, RPSM desired
• National headquarters experience recommended
• 7-10 years of remote team and staff supervisory experience desired
• 10+ years of wholesale experience desired
• Strong management and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of automotive retail/wholesale sales, service & parts operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word or similar PC software with data manipulation skills
• Strong negotiating skills

Responsibilities

• Establish overall regional strategic direction
• Establish regional priorities and objectives
• Develop plans and strategies to attain regularly assigned objectives
• Coordinate and implement all national programs on a regional basis
• Foster strong dealer relations in the region, including dealer development
• Ensure dealers' facilities meet or exceed standards set by HMA
• Develop and monitor the regional budget
• Oversee regional human resources functions, including personnel development and annual reviews
• Oversee regional advertising and marketing efforts
• Achieve regional CSI (HPI, HSI) objectives
• Manage extensive overnight travel
