About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for interfacing and consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, and administering approved medical marijuana products. The General Manager oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensary to include patient identification and registration, record retention, product tracking and inventory control as directed by the Director of Operations. This position will remain open for at least one week, until 2/17/2024 but may remain open beyond that time.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a dispensary or similar retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of medical marijuana regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and discrepancies effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in HR practices and employee management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
  • Background in quality assurance or compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all IL medical marijuana rules and regulations governing the act.
  • Supervise the activity within the dispensary including staff training and education.
  • Provide management and leadership in the Dispensary, monitoring all point of sale transactions.
  • Manage patient specific logs including receipt, storage, and auditing of all inventory.
  • Order new inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Resolve all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
  • Develop Dispensary privacy policies and procedures, ensuring security and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals consistent with established safety procedures.
  • Establish methods to follow the operating plan in compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain records required by public health law and ensure quality assurance plans.
  • Manage and implement policies for retesting of returned products and meeting reporting requirements.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking and record keeping.
  • Develop an employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality and teamwork.
  • Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee complaints and grievances.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  • Create organizational development and employee training programs.
  • Conduct performance reviews and monitor employee productivity.
  • Implement HR related software systems in collaboration with IT partners.
  • Recruit and retain top quality staff, managing talent acquisition.
  • Build a quality assurance program tied to performance review process.
  • Develop compensation and benefit programs to motivate and reward performance.
  • Maintain excellent facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.
  • Provide company-wide communication and manage change.
  • Ensure employee safety, wellness, and health & welfare.
