About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager / Chef Manager for Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA. We are looking for a skilled culinary leader to oversee a full-service café serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and catering operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on cooking experience, strong food and labor cost management skills, exceptional customer service, and proven leadership. This role offers daily interaction with students and staff, an open kitchen environment, and participation in the school's sustainability initiatives, while enjoying a primarily Monday-Friday schedule. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Requirements

• A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
• Strong coaching and employee development skills.
• Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.
• A passion for food and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting.
• Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented.
• Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance.
