About The Position

Smith & Wollensky is in search of a General Manager for our Burlington location. The GM is responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant and reports to the Managing Partner for Boston and the President of the company. The GM is responsible for each and every guest's satisfaction from arrival to departure.

Requirements

• MINIMUM 1 YEAR in a General Management position
• Experience in fine dining and upscale establishment
• Must FULLY understand the concept of Hospitality and be able to engage Guests & Staff in the most courteous, professional manner
• Maintain polished professional appearance
• Strong sense of urgency
• Written and verbal comprehension of English language
• Advanced computer skills
• Advanced mathematics skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Compeat and Micros / Toast

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all day-to-day operations, and working with in the budgets
• Overseeing Inventory and ordering process carried out by the Executive Chef and Beverage Manager
• Overseeing the daily maintenance and overall upkeep of the property/building, with the assistance of the Facilities Manager and with strict adherence to budgets.
• Ensuring the smooth function of the dining rooms, private rooms, bars and patios, making sure all guest expectations are met or exceeded in accordance with Smith & Wollensky standards.
• Supervising positions and stations throughout the restaurant, managing communication between the front desk, kitchen, bar, and tables.
• Ongoing training and development of all staff to maximize potential, while organizing and supervising staff schedules, side-work, cleanliness of dining rooms/facilities as well as bar service matters.
