About The Position

ESS Support Services Worldwide - Gulf of Mexico is a leading provider of comprehensive support services, specializing in food and facility maintenance for clients and their employees both offshore and on remote land sites. ESS includes our Alaskan native corporations, villages and individuals in the ownership of the catering, housekeeping and facility support services business. Our team consists of culinary professionals, dedicated kitchen support personnel, and hospitality experts committed to delivering unparalleled guest services, supporting every aspect of daily community life for our clients' resident workers -- 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Job Summary We're seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our food service operations and catering programs. This leadership role combines operational excellence with creative catering coordination. You'll manage daily kitchen and service operations while collaborating with the Corporate Chef to develop menus, pricing, and client-tailored catering experiences.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in food service management or catering
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and operational standards
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills

- Culinary or hospitality background preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of food service professionals
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
- Manage purchasing, inventory, and production planning
- Ensure all food is prepared and served to company standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work with the Corporate Chef to create sample menus and catering proposals
- Coordinate and organize catering events from planning to execution
- Train, coach, and develop team members
- Monitor budgets, labor, and cost controls
- Address customer feedback and continuously improve service
