Altair Lounge & Events is one of AREA15's most ambitious projects yet, a transformed aircraft and hospitality destination reimagined as a premium lounge, event and experiential venue. AREA15 is seeking a General Manager for Altair Lounge to serve as the day-to-day operating leader of this flagship concept. This role is responsible for executing the business strategy as set by the Business Owner, ensuring operational excellence and delivering a high-quality guest experience across all aspects of the venue, including private events, public activations, hospitality operations, and food & beverage execution. The General Manager will report into the Business Owner to bring the vision to life, translating strategy into consistent, high-performing operations while maintaining alignment with AREA15's brand, service standards and financial goals.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality, experiential entertainment, nightlife, and/or premium social venues, preferably in the Las Vegas market.
  • 8-12+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, nightlife, live events, premium venue operations, or destination entertainment.
  • Proven experience opening, stabilizing, and operating a high-profile venue or hospitality-driven concept.
  • Strong operational acumen with experience driving venue performance, service quality, and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience supporting or managing P&L performance, labor, and operational systems.
  • Ability to balance hospitality standards, guest experience, and disciplined execution in a complex, multi-use venue environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day operational leader for Altair Lounge & Events, ensuring the venue is consistently maintained, fully activated and guest-ready across all modes of operation, including private events, public programming and hospitality-driven experiences.
  • Oversee all guest-facing and event-driven operations, including lounge service, bar operations, private functions, and on-site activations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with service standards.
  • Uphold and execute a premium guest experience aligned with the vision and positioning of Altair Lounge & Events by translating the brand and hospitality concept into clear service standards, guest touchpoints, service rituals, and operational practices, including VIP service, beverage presentation, and signature service moments.
  • Assist in evaluating guest flow, capacity management, staffing efficiency, and operational readiness, implement improvements as needed.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce SOPs, service standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize guest flow, capacity, service pacing, and overall operational performance; proactively address challenges and lead guest recovery efforts when needed.
  • Monitor guest experience, ambiance, cleanliness, and service pacing; address issues proactively and in real time.
  • Report into the Business Owner to translate strategic direction into daily operational execution.
  • Execute the venue's identity, guest experience, and operating model as defined by the Business Owner and executive leadership.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations related to operational feasibility, guest experience, and venue performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Event Services, Programming, Marketing, and internal operations teams to ensure alignment, smooth handoffs, and successful execution across all venue activities.
  • Serve as the primary operating liaison across hospitality, guest services, security, production, venue operations, and event execution teams.
  • Ensure all departments are aligned and execution-ready for upcoming venue activity.
  • Lead venue activations from an operational standpoint, coordinating staffing, service readiness, guest flow, and venue presentation.
  • Help ensure the venue enhances and elevates the broader AREA15 entertainment ecosystem.
  • Lead venue activations from an operational perspective, coordinating staffing, service readiness, guest flow, and overall presentation.
  • Establish and maintain reporting on financial performance, guest metrics, labor, service quality, and operational KPIs; provide clear summaries, insights, and recommendations to leadership and the Business Owner.
  • Support and drive financial performance in partnership with the Business Owner, including revenue optimization, labor management, cost controls, and profitability.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operating performance and identify issues impacting revenue, efficiency, or guest satisfaction.
  • Partner with Finance and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and venue performance analysis.
  • Support implementation of pricing, service, and operational strategies designed to maximize venue productivity and financial performance.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers and operational staff; create clear accountability structures, performance expectations, and development pathways.
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership and HR on workforce planning, hiring, scheduling, and organizational structure to ensure optimal staffing levels and floor leadership support both guest experience and financial objectives.
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives to reinforce service standards, hospitality expectations, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the execution of beverage and hospitality programs, ensuring they are delivered as intended, maintained to brand standards, and remain both elevated and operationally effective.
  • Support rollout and operationalization of signature hospitality elements such as tableside service, beverage rituals, VIP experiences, and premium guest touchpoints.
  • Partner with culinary, beverage, and operational stakeholders to ensure the hospitality experience is both executable and elevated.
  • Use data-driven insights and real-time and on-the-ground feedback to continuously optimize venue performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide clear summaries, insights, and recommendations to leadership and the Business Owner.
  • Respond to time sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
