About The Position

Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking an experienced General Manager 4– Food to lead dining operations at Rivier University, a private Catholic University located in Nashua, New Hampshire. Sodexo provides a full suite of services onsite, including resident dining, retail dining, catering, and conference services. In addition, Sodexo operates the University's campus and virtual store, offering school spirit gear and apparel. The General Manager will oversee all financial performance, operational excellence, and client relationships while providing strategic direction and operational leadership across resident dining, retail dining, catering, conference services, and the campus store. Serving as the primary liaison with campus partners, the GM will lead a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional hospitality, safety, and service quality.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a successful track record managing food service operations.
  • Culinary production knowledge and a strong foundation in safety and sanitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and meeting performance targets.
  • Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS), Market Connection (MSC), and general computer proficiency.
  • A collaborative, student-centered approach and commitment to service excellence.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Nice To Haves

  • A catering background is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for resident dining, retail dining, catering, conference services, and the campus store.
  • Lead, train, and develop a diverse team focused on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain strong client and customer relationships and serve as the primary on-site partner.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to meet company and client goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that support campus initiatives and enhance the student experience.
  • Support and expand summer conference operations from May through August.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
