Sodexo is currently seeking an Environmental Services General Manager 4 for a large healthcare account in the Miami, FL area, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Jackson Memorial Hospital is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and the major teaching facility for the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. With more than 1,550 licensed beds in the system, Jackson Memorial Hospital is licensed for 738 beds and is a referral center, a magnet for medical research, and home to Ryder Trauma Center - the only adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center in Miami-Dade County. This GM4 will report to the GM5 and be responsible for overall operations with 4 managers, 10 supervisors and 200+ frontline staff. Sodexo offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Employees at our healthcare sites play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and well-being. Employees who work at this location are required to pass a 2nd level background check.

Requirements

  • are leaders who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
  • are an expert in building and maintain strong customer / client relationships
  • possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • have 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management
  • have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • are proficient with computers and other technology
  • have experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations
  • have strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • have exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director and other key members of hospital leadership
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
