The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of all equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler, as well as preparing products. The role includes receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and completing associated paperwork. Daily cleaning of equipment and the facility is also required. The position demands strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills to effectively take and process orders, along with the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations accurately and quickly. The General Manager must also demonstrate motor coordination to make precise movements and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Effective communication with customers and co-workers is essential for processing orders both over the phone and in person. Additionally, the role involves delivering products by car to customers' doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. Navigational skills are necessary to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, as well as the ability to navigate adverse terrain while carrying products. Leadership skills are required to coach and train new employees.
