The General Manager is responsible for operating all equipment and managing the workflow in the facility. This includes stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage, preparing products, and receiving and processing telephone orders. The role also involves taking inventory, completing associated paperwork, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and the facility on a daily basis. The General Manager must possess strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills to effectively take and process orders, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical operations accurately and quickly. Additionally, the position requires good motor coordination to make precise movements and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and co-workers, both over the phone and in person. The General Manager will also be responsible for delivering products by car to customers' doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. Navigational skills are necessary to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, which may include navigating adverse terrain such as multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying products. Leadership skills are important, as the General Manager must lead by example and coach/train new employees.
