About The Position

The General Maintenance position at Valley River Inn involves maintaining the building's physical appearance and ensuring the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role includes responsibilities such as ensuring security, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance of all engineering tools and equipment, as well as responding to after-hour calls as necessary. The position requires a commitment to safety and cleanliness in all work areas and the proper treatment of tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Must be able to complete all types of work orders generated for engineering.
• General understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Journeymen level experience or equivalent in a trade or 2+ years in building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively perform painting, woodworking, and general carpentry.
• Ability to perform maintenance and general repair.
• Knowledge and ability to operate tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Flexibility to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building's physical appearance and working order.
• Assist with the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure security, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance of engineering tools and equipment.
• Keep maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas clean and orderly.
• Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond to after-hour calls as necessary.
• Report and address unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
