About The Position

The General Maintenance Associate role at UNFI involves the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. Requirements

• Current Driver's License
• General mechanical knowledge and experience with hand power tools
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to use a multimeter
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on various building equipment including furnaces, A/C units, ventilation devices, dock plates, power doors, sprinkler systems, and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct light mechanical duties as needed.
• Scoop and plow snow, and salt walks during winter.
• Monitor and troubleshoot problems with equipment and facilities.
• Keep records of work performed and maintain maintenance history logs.
• Control and account for equipment and supplies.
• Maintain grounds and clear parking lots.
• Order supplies and parts as needed.
