About The Position

Day (United States of America) General Maintenance Performs general maintenance of the hospital's plant services. Assists in performing installation and remodeling construction. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required - Sufficient experience to acquire a general knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment or a minimum of two years experience. - Years of experience determined by quality of assignments related to position responsibility. - Skills in verbal and written communication required. - Ability to operate mechanical equipment required. - Possess a license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. - Ability to operate mechanical and electrical tools. - Maintain hospital appliance and equipment including: - repairs - light fixtures, ballast, switches and receptacles - beds, cords and control motors - toilets, sinks and plumbing - wheelchairs, stretchers, furniture addressographs and environmental services equipment - central vacuum system and pneumatic tubes - ice makers, water coolers, and hot waters systems and circulating pumps - Fills in for and performs within scope of ability, other employees job responsibilities are assigned including: - maintenance mechanic - electrician - plumber - air conditioning mechanic - plant operator - Requisitioning of supplies and maintain records and equipment - Perform other related duties assigned

Requirements
