About The Position

ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC). We are looking for a General Maintenance Worker to join our team.

Requirements

Must have 2 years of recent experience as a General Maintenance Worker
High School diploma/GED preferred
Must be a US Citizen and posses a valid US Passport or REAL ID
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motor vehicles
Must be able to lift 30lbs. unassisted
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Clear and effective written and communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

Repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
Replace electrical receptacles, wires, bulbs, ballast, switches, fixtures, and motors
Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
Repair or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
Paint structures and equipment
Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles
Hang doors and install door locks
Perform Preventive Maintenance on exhaust fans, emergency lighting, HVAC equipment, water coolers, pumps, facility operating equipment
Performing general maintenance on equipment and facility infrastructure
Crawl under and work on the topside of buildings as needed to make repairs
Perform other duties as assigned
