About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial & General Maintenance Worker in our North Mankato-MN facility to maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall facility upkeep. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and professional environment. Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and building systems
  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and maintenance tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work in an environment that requires indoor and occasional outdoor work
  • Comfortability with exposure to cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and use hand tools
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors
  • Empty trash and recycling containers
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
  • Replace light bulbs, filters, and ceiling tiles
  • Assist with HVAC filter changes and basic system checks
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and/or identify repair needs
  • Repair doors, locks, handles, and other hardware
  • Paint and patch walls as needed
  • Set up and break down equipment or furniture for meetings and events
  • Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance (if applicable)
  • Assist as backup for warehouse activity following forklift certification
