General Maintenance Worker
About The Position
Position Summary Perform maintenance and repair of buildings, machinery and electrical and mechanical equipment; coordinate maintenance activities, including personnel, materials and equipment to complete assigned maintenance/site projects and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in construction technology; and
- Four (4) years of general construction or facility maintenance experience.
- Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
- Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

- ARC and acetylene welding methods and techniques
- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of assigned facilities and equipment

- Operate a variety of maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Perform both rough and finished carpentry work
- Perform both gas and electric welding
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Communicate clearly and concisely
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
