About The Position
The City of Howard Lake is seeking applicants for a full-time, entry-level General Maintenance Worker in Public Works. This role is ideal for individuals starting a career in public works, facilities, or maintenance who bring relevant skills or experience. Under the direction of the Public Works Lead, the position supports streets, parks, the beach, stormwater systems, facilities, and utilities through hands-on work. Typical duties include mowing, weeding, snow and ice control, light building maintenance, beach and grounds care, equipment operation, minor repairs, and assisting utility operators with tasks such as meter readings, hydrant flushing, and lift station checks. The position also participates in a paid on-call rotation and provides strong training and advancement opportunities.
