General Maintenance Worker
About The Position
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a General Maintenance Worker, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The General Maintenance Worker will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating, maintaining and/or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal, BNH candidates and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. The successful candidate will, under general supervision, perform minor maintenance and repair tasks within the following occupations: Carpentry, Electrical, Laborer, Painting, Pipefitting, Refrigeration and Teamster.
Requirements
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of progressive experience performing duties described above
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions
- Current U. S. Citizenship required
- Must have and maintain a valid State Driver’s License
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions

Responsibilities
- Perform minor labor to accomplish work at hand
- Perform interior plumbing to worker’s capability
- Make minor repairs such as adjusting doors and windows including knobs and locks
- Make minor carpet repairs
- Patches holes in walls to include, touching up spots, puttying, caulking, scraping, sanding interior and exterior structures
- Perform electrical repair, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, switch covers, outlet covers, dishwasher, garbage disposal, hot water elements and doorbells
- Pick up and deliver minor amounts of materials, but will not make major deliveries
- Replace and clean air conditioning filters
- Load and unload trucks and/or railroad cars
- Participate in functional specific safety training
- It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
