By providing reliable maintenance and upkeep of agency spaces, this role helps ensure programs can operate effectively and with dignity.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of related experience in general maintenance, facilities support or building operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness, and self-regulation in navigating challenges and changing priorities.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment and demonstrates respect for individuals from varied backgrounds.
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment.
  • Performs work involving frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Travels between worksites occasionally; valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and motor vehicle record clearance required.
  • Works in a variety of settings, including LCSNW office locations, partner agency sites, outdoor environments, and faith-based settings.
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs to ensure agency facilities are safe, clean, and in good working order.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety equipment.
  • Maintain exterior areas, including grounds upkeep, trash removal, and snow or ice mitigation as needed.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and third-party vendors to address specialized repairs and maintenance services.
  • Support basic facility projects such as painting, minor renovations, furniture assembly, and space reconfiguration.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, agency procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
