About The Position
Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support a government contract based in Jacksonville, Florida at Mayport. The position involves performing duties described in the Service Contract Act Service Order for a General Maintenance Worker, and may include duties of other classifications with an equal or lower pay rate. Work will be performed at MCSF Blount Island.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of general maintenance experience.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Paint structures and equipment.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
- Hang doors and install door locks.
- Replace broken window panes.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Perform other duties as requested.
