About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, buildings, and various systems within the facility during the 2nd shift. This role involves performing tasks such as plumbing maintenance, electrical work, and preventative maintenance, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general or facilities maintenance experience.
• Skills in general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, hydraulics, motors, repair, troubleshooting, painting, building maintenance, facility maintenance, lighting, maintenance repair, maintenance technician, preventive maintenance, construction, carpentry, blueprint reading, and electronic circuits.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in plumbing, low voltage electrical, and light carpentry.
• Ability to change light bulbs, perform plumbing tasks for bathrooms, and clean or change filters and exhaust fans.

Responsibilities

• Fix and maintain mechanical equipment and buildings.
• Perform touch-up painting and flooring repairs.
• Handle plumbing maintenance for toilets, urinals, and sinks.
• Perform electrical work including changing light tubes, ballasts, and sockets.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and coolers.
• Respond to work phone requests and emergency situations.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks according to work orders and instructions.
