About The Position

Tessera is seeking a reliable and hard-working General Maintenance Worker with a helpful attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Assist skilled workers in performing various maintenance at the Wash Rack Facility. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of building, ground, and equipment. Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, inform the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determine customer needs. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure completed work meets quality control standards. Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors. Communicates with scheduler to update status of repairs, estimate completion dates and additional material requirements. Follows all Safety Procedures and Policies. Occasional weekend and after hours are required to support military operations. Times and dates to be determined. Must have the ability to adjust work hours depending on customer schedule changes. Inspect, clean, and complete minor repairs on the 4 stormwater basins, oil skimmers, and related equipment, and report any deficiencies to their supervisor and or Lead. Work in all weather conditions as the majority of this position requirements are outdoors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work in and contribute to a team.
  • 1 year of experience in general maintenance/construction work is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a variety of different environments including high places.
  • Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
