About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker at HonorHealth is responsible for performing repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance on hospital buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles. This role supports the maintenance team by assisting with plumbing assignments and promoting a culture of service excellence within the organization. The position is integral to ensuring the functionality and safety of the healthcare environment, contributing to the overall patient care experience.

Requirements

• 1 year of related general maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, installations, and preventative/corrective maintenance on all hospital buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles.
• Assist with plumbing assignments under the guidance of a licensed plumber.
• Encourage teamwork within Supply Chain Support Services and promote a culture of service excellence.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital physical plant equipment and buildings involving plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, carpentry, roofing, flooring, ceilings, and walls.
• Maintain and repair beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, pneumatic tube systems, medical equipment, vehicles, televisions, and other assigned equipment.
• Assist Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, and Painters as directed.
• Perform related duties including cleaning assigned areas, answering telephones, and completing documentation in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Attend inservice education classes as directed.
• Assist other hospital personnel on project work and new installations of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
