Our location in Elgin, IL is growing and seeking an Electrician. This position is Sunday-Thursday from 3AM-11:30AM. Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Production support to keep equipment running.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the equipment to keep them running at peak performance.
  • Cleaning and organizing the maintenance shop.
  • Making sure that stock parts are ordered in a timely fashion to keep down time to a minimum.
  • General warehouse projects such as putting up guard rail and rearranging racks.
  • Repairing the floors and walls when needed.
  • Moving equipment around for production needs.
  • Running the floor scrubber to clean the floors and cleaning and maintaining the floor scrubber.
  • Any other duty as assigned by the Director or as needed by the supervisors.
  • This is a hands on self-starting position.

Requirements

  • 5 years of basic maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays
  • 3 years of experience in PC competency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics
  • 5+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.
  • 3+ years of work order management
  • 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Previous vendor management experience
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
