General Maintenance Technician

About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring needed repairs to maintain the property operation and response to all property concerns in a prompt manner to avoid guest inconvenience. Technicians should become thoroughly familiar with all phases of operation and maintenance necessary to operate and repair all functional elements of the property, to include external elements. Attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing an excellent guest experience are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Proficient with iOS devices
  • Must be able to work in a variety of climates for all seasons, including high heat and temps below freezing.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Must have a strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance
  • Continually assess the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation and efficiency are all being maximized pursuant to recommendations
  • Must be able to operate mover, trimmers, snow blower, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools
  • Must be able to operate heavy machinery to include tractors, bobcat and skid steer
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor throughout shift
  • Follows all safety protocols and reports unsafe working conditions immediately
  • Follows lost and found policies and procedures
  • Plans, organizes and completes work timely
  • Takes initiatives, shows ownership and goes above and beyond to assist guests with their needs
  • Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors
  • All other duties assigned by leadership
