About The Position

As a member of the Engineering team, this position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, testing, installing, cleaning, and troubleshooting guestrooms and public areas. Duties include performing minor carpentry, electrical, electronics, locksmith, painting, plumbing, and carpet repairs. Requirements

  • Experience and/or training in construction or engineering related roles.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
  • This positions will require being exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; with two or more years of related experience in construction or engineering and/or training in a service-oriented business similar to a hotel or resort

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize tasks and requests and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance cart is properly stocked with all required tools and materials
  • Complete preventative quota of all standard guest rooms twice annually, suites quarterly, driving to/from a variety of different buildings across the resort in a pickup truck or van.
  • Complete preventative quota of all standard guest rooms twice annually, suites quarterly
  • Complete monthly public area preventative maintenance as assigned by Engineering Manager
  • Works closely with Paint Shop Supervisor and Housekeeping operations to coordinate maintenance efforts
  • Produces and maintains accurate records of rooms and public areas serviced
  • Properly fill out work orders for rooms requiring further attention.
  • Ability to contact and coordinate maintenance activities with other Engineering Trades
  • Knowledge of various repair and maintenance procedures as noted above
  • Knowledge of both 5 star and 5 diamond guest service standards and communication skills
