About The Position

This position performs basic maintenance duties and assist
maintenance technicians on more difficult or technical duties to maintain county
facilities.Essential Duties:

Assist plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, carpentry, and jail technicians as
needed to perform general maintenance for all county buildings;

Change light bulbs, ceiling tiles, hanging pictures, plaques, and wall boards in
county offices and buildings;

Confers with supervisor concerning construction, alteration, maintenance, and
repair projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduation or its equivalent, plus at least one year of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• TX Driver’s License
• Safely operate equipment, use hand tools and other specialized equipment, understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers.
