Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This position is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, and vehicle servicing. This is an entry-level position working under close supervision while learning established procedures and safety standards. Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of commonly used maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work under immediate supervision.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks according to established guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry 25+ pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, and vehicle servicing.
  • Follow established procedures and safety measures related to assigned tasks.
  • Assist in diagnosing equipment or facility issues and complete repairs as directed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
  • Follow all facility safety rules, procedures, and standards.
  • Document completed work as required.
