About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician (GMT) is responsible for all general maintenance within the company and preventative maintenance of plant equipment. This position is responsible for shooting and problem solving of issues as they occur. The GMT position is also responsible for equipment improvements and suggestions.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • General maintenance knowledge
  • General knowledge of 480-volt 3ph. Electricity
  • General understanding of PLC controls, logic, and programming
  • familiarity with company, facility, departments, equipment, procedures, and set-ups, while working on the job with personnel in the respective areas

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on al production and facility equipment, with normal supervisor (additional supervision when needed) utilizing accepted procedures and tools to insure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • May work irregular hours and weekend as production and maintenance needs dictate.
  • May assist with other jobs as required by Maintenance Supervision.
  • Assist with plant shutdowns and start-ups.
  • Responsible for parts and material requisition.
  • Will perform specialized maintenance procedures when directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes maintenance schedule laid out by Maintenance Supervision.
  • Responsible for general knowledge of functions and operations of robotics.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and responsible for completing the tasks at hand.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor in planning and decision-making process.
  • Responsible for understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
  • Assist in controlling non-conforming products.
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
  • Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and hot it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
