General Maintenance Technician

What this job involves - The Maintenance Technician will receive work orders and preventative maintenance orders to complete around the warehouse. Also, inspect building equipment to identify issues response to emergency and non-emergency call for repairs. What is the day to day? Inspect building equipment to identify any issues. Trouble shoot mechanical problems on dock doors, dock levelers, Balers, Compactors, Battery change, shrink wrap machine and other machinery. Perform minor repairs to building fixtures, minor plumbing repairs (sinks, toilets, water fountains and water dispensers), replace light bulbs, air filters and perform touch up painting. Promptly response to request for emergency repairs. Perform battery change duties when needed on forklift equipment and maintain forklift batteries. Document all Preventive Maintenance and complete on or before the due date, keep equipment safe, clean and in good working standards. Perform all task with minimal interference with production department process. Communicate with the operation Manager regarding equipment repair status. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Inspections and PM's require paper work that needs to be legible.
Requirements
- Required 1+ year of maintenance or automobile experience
- Willingness to learn
- Work Environment Warehouse with office space
- Being able to work flexible hours 7 days a week for colleague coverage or emergency work that customer might request
- Using hand and power tools to complete work orders/preventative maintenance
- Physical ability to inspect both outdoor and indoor facilities areas in warehouse environment, which could include walking, standing, climbing
- This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
